What Others Are Saying

Receiving (and giving!) feedback is always an important piece of a rabbi's job. I firmly believe that everyone can - and should be - continually growing. I strive to take constructive criticism to heart, as we partner together to continue to build our community. Below are some unsolicited thoughts from current congregants:

High Holy Days 2021

By the way – I truly enjoyed all your sermons these holidays!

I really loved the divrei torah, especially the RH 1 one. I didn’t know if the tekiah gedolah [after YK] was going to work, but it was really nice.

We really enjoyed services and your words very very lovely.

Rabbi Silverman's d'var torah made me cry and it really set the tone for a powerful YK.

From Current Congregants

Dear Rabbi Silverman,
You are a very special person and a wonderful Rabbi! Thank you for all your hard work and special ways of making the TI community feel focused, comfortable, fulfilled, safe and happy!

How lucky we are to know and have you be a significant player in our community. I will never forget your kindness and compassion extended to my family regarding [redacted]. Thank you for all you do, you are truly a mensch.

Dear Rabbi Silverman,
[We] wanted to make sure to thank you for taking the lead on the incredible burst of programming around diversity at TI and breaking through the barriers of polarization.

Vaccine Clinic & Carnival

Hi!  I heard on WBZ radio about Temple Israel and how you turned the vaccination clinic into a fun filled time.  How brilliant!  Kol hakavod!

I just saw the news video from WCVB. Wow, what a terrific story. Congratulations to both of you and to the whole community.

A quick shout out to say thank you for putting together an amazing day for our community. Both my kids had theirs back in the spring in the 16-12 year old group, but as a member of our community, I want to tell you how proud I am of our temple. What you guys did today is outstanding, and I appreciate it. Thank you for supporting wellness, health, and science. It does not go unnoticed. Keep up the great work.

Yasher koach Rabbi. This was a huge success. Thank you.
