Real Men Marry Rabbis
What started on a whim while walking down Broadway was solidified around a Shabbat lunch table, and has now turned into the production of 250+ t-shirts - all proudly proclaiming "real men marry rabbis." The shirts have been featured at countless weddings, in Lilith as well as JWI's magazine, in a marriage proposal on top of Masada, and can be found in many newspaper articles and blog posts. There is even a "real men marry rabbis" t-shirt at the National Museum of American Jewish History.
The initial excitement generated by the creation of the t-shirts was overwhelming. People were hungry for affirmation that their career choice was not only socially acceptable but worthy of celebration. And so the shirts were bought in droves.

Rabbis Heart Cheshvan
After the success of the "real men marry rabbis" shirts, many other shirts were suggested. The next big idea came by way of a Hebrew College rabbinical student named Avi Killip. Noticing how hard rabbis work during the month of Tishrei (and frankly, the month of Elul, preparing for Tishrei), she wanted a shirt created that acknowledged the relief of the month of Cheshvan. Hence, Rabbis <3 Cheshvan was born.
You can purchase either t-shirt (in a variety of colors) here.
